Read the latest from the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table in our September newsletter. Inside you'll find:

Featured Event - Campaign 67 Kickoff: Join us Friday, September 12 to launch our 67th campaign year with Wayne E. Motts presenting "'...Duty Well and Faithfully Done': The United States Regular Army at the Battle of Gettysburg." Celebrate Motts' return as CEO of the National Civil War Museum as he explores the stories of over 7,100 U.S. Regular Army soldiers who fought at Gettysburg across all three days—many of whose units remain on active duty today. Dinner at 6:15 pm, presentation at 7:15 pm. Virtual attendance available via Zoom.

Website Restoration: After summer glitches, the HCWRT website is fully operational! Members can now easily handle dinner payments ($35), membership renewals ($30 individual/$45 family), and donations online via PayPal or credit card. President Mo Becker encourages all members to re-enlist and consider donating at least $70 during Campaign 67.

Recruitment Drive: HCWRT will man a display table at the 2025 Army Expo at USAHEC (September 13-14). Volunteers needed! Most effective recruitment method: bring friends to dinner meetings.

Special Event Highlight: Tony Award-winning actor John Rubinstein stars in "Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground" at Gettysburg's Majestic Theater (October 3-4)—a rare chance to see Ike brought to life in a theater he regularly attended.

Plus: President Mo Becker's welcome message, extensive list of September regional Civil War events (including WWII weekend at Eisenhower Farm, Rick Atkinson lecture, Antietam Institute conference), Civil War trivia, membership form, and upcoming programs through spring 2026.
