Featured Event: Join us Friday, March 13, as we commemorate Women's History Month with a presentation by the Rev. Dr. Nancy Jill Hale, "'A Sight Never To Be Forgotten': Union Chaplains at Gettysburg." A United Methodist pastor and Licensed Battlefield Guide, Hale explores the vital role chaplains played in soldiers' spiritual and moral lives — including Ella Gibson Hobart, the only woman to serve as a Civil War chaplain. Dinner at 6:30 pm, presentation at 7:15 pm. Virtual attendance available via Zoom (please join by 7:00 pm).
President's Message: With his two-year tenure ending in June, Mo Becker recaps a resounding February turnout for Dr. Bennett Parten and puts out the call for members to step into open Board roles — Treasurer and Secretary — as Rev. Rebecca Myers stands for election as our next President.
Spring Field Trip Update: Our May 2, 2026 Battle of South Mountain trip remains sold out, with four now on the waiting list. Contact Steve Williamson to be added.
Upcoming Programs: Preview the close of Campaign 67, including Steven Stotelmyer on the Maryland Campaign (Apr. 10), A. Wilson Greene's Nye-Sommers Lecture on the First Petersburg Offensive (May 15), and Carolyn Ivanoff on Cornelia Hancock's Civil War at our Annual Business Meeting (Jun. 5).
