Time & Location

Oct 17, 2026, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Mount Zion Cemetery, Mt Zion Cemetery, 1369 Boiling Springs Rd, Boiling Springs, PA 17007, USA

About the event

A joint preservation project of the Pennsylvania Reserves Volunteer Corps Historical Society, Mt. Zion Cemetery, the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table, and the Camp Curtin Historical Society.

Over two mornings, we will clean and care for the Civil War gravestones at Mt. Zion Cemetery, work that is straightforward, satisfying, and needs more hands than we have.

When: Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 9:00 am to noon each day. Come for one morning or both; you don't need to stay the whole time.

What to bring: No experience necessary; training and supplies are provided. Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty, bring work gloves and water, and dress for the weather. This is outdoor work on uneven ground.
